Project Inception:

The Abrahamic Family House is a landmark interfaith compound inspired by the Document on Human Fraternity signed during Pope Francis' 2019 visit to the UAE. It was constructed by Sir David Adjaye OBE, known for his iconic architectural designs. The project aims to promote coexistence among peoples and combat extremism.

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed al Tayeb:

Ahmed el-Tayeb is the current Grand Imam of al-Azhar, also known as Grand Sheikh of al-Azhar. Most Muslims consider him the highest authority in Sunni Islamic thought and jurisprudence. He was born on January 6, 1946, in Kurna, Luxor Governorate, and is 77 years old.

Architectural Design:

The Abrahamic Family House consists of three equal-sized cubes, representing a mosque, church, and synagogue, designed by Sir David Adjaye OBE. The white-stoned structures are inspired by the traditional designs of each faith, preserving their individuality while symbolizing unity. Sir David Adjaye is a Ghanaian-British architect known for his community-driven and artistic projects.
