ADNOC's launch of the region's first high-speed green hydrogen refuelling pilot station is a monumental achievement in promoting sustainable energy. The move signifies the company's commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting a cleaner environment. This initiative will inspire other organizations to follow suit and invest in green energy. It is an excellent opportunity for governments, businesses, and individuals to create a more sustainable future.
ADNOC's "H2GO" pilot station in Masdar City is a significant milestone in supporting the UAE's National Hydrogen Strategy and decarbonizing the transport sector. The station utilizes electrolysis to create green hydrogen from water and is certified according to the International REC Standard. Collaborations with global companies such as Toyota, BMW, and Linde and fleet testing by taxi companies, including Tawasul, demonstrate ADNOC's commitment to sustainable mobility and energy transition in line with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative.
ADNOC is committed to sustainability. The leaders, Mr. Musabbeh Al Kaabi and Eng. Bader Saeed Al Lamki is spearheading efforts towards decarbonization. They use hydrogen as an energy carrier with zero CO2 emissions and a clean-grid electrolyzer production process. Their financial commitment of $15 billion (AED 55 billion) towards lower-carbon solutions and decarbonization technologies will reduce carbon intensity by 25% by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2045.
