The Mina Zayed Redevelopment Project is a compelling mixed-use development that promises to be a game-changer for the region. It combines tourism, commercial, and residential components. In 2025, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan approved the development plans for the Mina Zayed Fisherman's Wharf project. The master plan includes specialized markets for various goods, food and beverage outlets, and a wholesale market. There is also an emphasis on preserving Abu Dhabi's heritage as a port city.

In 2026, the redevelopment project led by Modon Properties continued to make progress. The focus is creating vibrant commercial destinations to boost the economy and elevate the emirate's global status. Moreover, Infrastructure enhancements are being made to attract traders, investors, and visitors. The socio-economic benefits are expected to bolster Abu Dhabi's position as a critical destination for trade and commerce.
