Introducing The Rise Tower, a stunning skyscraper soon to grace the skyline of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This impressive project is currently under development and promises to be a modern architecture and design marvel.

Foster + Partners has just won the contract to design the world's tallest building. The proposed height is a staggering 2 kilometres, twice the height of the current record holder, Burj Khalifa.

The project, named "The Rise," was unveiled in August. It will be located near King Khalid International Airport, north of Riyadh. But that's not all—"The Rise" is also designed to be entirely powered by solar energy and renewable sources. Although, this is an unparalleled achievement in engineering and sustainability. This building will undoubtedly symbolise human ingenuity and innovation for generations to come.

In 2023, Saudi PIF will develop the Rise Tower as part of the North Pole project, which will span 306 sq km in the northern area of Riyadh and have an impressive 678 floors. The North Pole project will include many amenities, including residential neighbourhoods and commercial areas. It also comprises industrial zones, entertainment hubs, green spaces, sports centres, educational institutions, medical facilities, government centres, and cultural landmarks.

The project will prioritize seamless connectivity, pedestrian-friendly streets, bike lanes, and efficient pathways. It has integrated serene parks and green spaces throughout the development to promote a healthy lifestyle. There will also be a solid commitment to environmental stewardship, using solar energy and other renewable sources.

In 2024, a project caught the attention of several international design firms. It includes SOM, Adrian Smith & Gordon Gill Architecture, Kohn Pedersen Fox, Gensler, 10Design, and Killa Design. Foster + Partners. They will simultaneously involved in the expansion of King Salman International Airport.

The North Pole project aimed to combine modernity with nature, providing occupants with an exceptional living experience. The project's commitment to environmental sustainability was evident through incorporating water bodies, which improved air quality and cooled the climate.
